“ Strongly recommend this cafe for their nice environment, great service, and superb quality matcha. Note that their ceremonial grade matcha are only served hot! Ordered their Yu iced matcha latte and indicated that I would like it slightly sweetened under the remarks section. When it was served, the owner (?) came to explain that Yu is already naturally sweet and recommended that I have it unsweetened so that I can try its original taste profile. They offered to remake a glass for me and it tasted amazing. ”
“ Chabashira matcha is my favourite of all other matcha places. They offer a variety of matcha selections along with a description of each powder. If you're confused about what to order, you can ask for a recommendation from the staff. They're so friendly and the shop feels so lively and cozy. I always ordered RENA matcha late every time i came here. This is gonna be my new monthly commitment ”
“ Had our first taste of Yu and Kyo at TRX and we loved it so much! we had to get our hands on the matcha powder! Found out it’s only available at the PJ main branch, good thing we had a rental car. Drove all the way from KL and honestly thought we were at the wrong place (it’s next to a workshop!), but it turned out to be such a gem. Great atmosphere and packed with people. The staff were also professional in explaining the products, as well as the ordering and payment processes. We got the same order along with our matcha powder stocks before leaving the country. Absolutely worth the trip. We’ll definitely be back! ”
“ A good experience of japanese matcha in a peaceful place with nice staff. The manager explained everything for us very well. You can ask them before ordering, and they will respond to all of your questions politely. I liked this place very much and will visit again. ”
“ Such a cozy hidden gem, less assuming from the outside, but once inside, you’re greeted by this big, beautiful red Japanese umbrella. Are we in Japan thru Doraemon’s pintu ajaib? Today’s theme for us: Hojicha! The hojicha tea was honestly the best I’ve ever had, and the hojicha brownie with ice cream took me right back to Kyoto. Love it, be back - save us seats Alan! ”
“ Always my top choice for matcha since day one! I still remember the first time I passed by the shop I had no idea it was their private opening, but the boss still welcomed us in, knowing we came from far away. That warm hospitality, the rich, premium matcha, and the mouthwatering desserts have kept me coming back ever since. ”
“ Love the place! We especially love the strawberry matcha and their salmon chazuke. You can tell they use high quality ingredients only. They offer good quality matcha and excellent service! Alex helped us choose the tea and was very kind to answer all our questions. The other staffs were kind as well but Alex just stood out, so big shoutout to him! The atmosphere was very calm, so you can really take time to enjoy your cup of tea. We went around 8pm so parking was easy to find. ”
“ The matcha desserts were beautifully crafted, with rich flavors and delicate textures, while the high-grade matcha lattes were smooth and full-bodied, reflecting the quality of the ingredients. The matcha-master and staff possess an impressive depth of knowledge about matcha, sharing their expertise with genuine enthusiasm. Such lovely roastery! I’d return to enjoy more of what they have to offer. ”
“ good quality matcha everything!! sponge cakes are a bit dry and its quite pricey but they have yuzu tea flavoured things here which is amazing ”
“ You can't ask more for this 155 year old brand. Their tea is authentic, all the ingredients are with good quality. Most important of all, the Matcha and Houjicha soft serve are out of this world! I love so much, and you must try! ”
